Mary Kocman

Associate Therapist
Mary received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2019. She worked with adults, children, and couples at The Jewish Family Children Service in Long Beach for two years prior to joining Coldwater.
Mary's interests in the therapy space include working with dreams and sandplay.
Mary is a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, using this body oriented modality to help regulate a client's nervous system and heal traumas. Mary's SE interests include working with transgenerational traumas, early childhood traumas, as well as individual traumatic events such as accidents.
Mary is also a "still working" librarian for the past 24 years. Besides her regular fiction reads, she has an interest in the works of Joseph Campbell, Robert Johnson, Thomas Moore, and Donald Kalsched and is happy to bring reading material into sessions with clients.
